Electrification of the transportation system : an innovative approach !
Petrol has dominated the sector of terrestrial tranport in the last century, but the arrival on the market of rechargeable all-electric and hybrid cars is expected soon. In this sense, Hydro-Québec wishes not only to help the development of those technologies but also to use its leadership to encourage their implementation in Quebec in the next few years. Demonstration projects, charging of vehicles, urban mobility and a number of technologies : this event will allow members of the JCCM to get acquainted with different concepts and to familiarize themselves with Hydro-Québec's projects.

Pierre-Luc Desgagné, Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Government Relations, Hydro-Québec
 After his arrival at Hydro-Québec in 2001, Mr Desgagné is first Director, Media and Public Affairs, before being appointed as Senior Manager, Environment and Public Affairs. In 2004, he becomes Senior Manager, Communications. Since 2007, he is Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Government Relations, where he is responsible for coordinating all the Hydro-Québec initiatives related to electrification of transportation.
Mr Desgagné has a Law degree from Laval University. He has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1992, at which point he joined the firm Grondin, Poudrier, Bernier and specialized in commercial and civil litigation. In 1996, he joined the Quebec government, at the Ministère de la Métropole. In the Fall of 1997, he joined the Office of the Prime Minister, Mr Lucien Bouchard, as Assistant Private Secretary.
In May 2007, Mr Desgagné won the Young Executive in Quebec award at the Arista Awards Ceremony of the JCCM. He is now a member of the Council of Sponsors of the JCCM.
