Alizée Lefebvre: Going Beyond the “Average User”
As a user experience researcher at Desjardins, Alizée Lefebvre has made digital accessibility her impact challenge within the Génération d’impact program. Her starting point is clear: nearly 27% of Quebecers live with visual, cognitive, or motor impairments, yet we continue to design for an “average user” who, in reality, hardly exists.
Driven by her own journey, she was diagnosed with dyslexia late in life, and convinced that accessibility benefits far more than just a minority, Alizée is working to change her department’s practices to better reflect the diversity of the population in the development of Desjardins’ digital solutions.
