Bénévole JCCM

His Background

This month, we introduce you to Dodji Elike Koffi, a 34-year-old entrepreneur and consultant for his own firm, DEK Strategies and Consulting. Dodji shines as a member of the JCCM, notably by participating in the Young Successors' program. He also serves as Vice-President of the company Montréal Balance-Board.

"I was born in Montreal and grew up in Trois-Rivières. In 2009, I moved to Quebec City to pursue my studies at Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon, and later in business administration at Laval University with the goal of becoming a real estate developer. In 2016, my former employer, Duproprio, offered me a promotion that gave me the opportunity to move to Montreal and be closer to my family and friends.

Upon arriving in Montreal, I quickly found myself in a multicultural and open business environment that allowed me to believe in my potential. To this day, Montreal enables me to realize my dream of becoming an entrepreneur, develop my own businesses as well as those of my clients, expand my real estate portfolio, and most importantly, get involved in my community."

Why did you decide to get involved with the JCCM?

"I have nothing but positive things to say about the JCCM. Recently, I participated in the YAN (Young Administrators Network) on governance, and I really appreciated its content.

The JCCM activity that left the strongest impression on me was 'La Fresque du Climat,' which was held as part of the Great Montreal Business Youth Meeting (GRRAM). Even though it's a recent experience, it made me realize that even when fully aware of climate issues, we must absolutely take action to address them. And this action must be taken by everyone, both as entrepreneurs and decision-makers."
