JCCM

The Junior Chamber of Commerce of Montreal (JCCM) enters a new era as the presidency gives way to The Collective of ambassadors and spokespersons. Composed of four diverse profiles, The Collective becomes the voice of the priorities of the young business community and the organization's committed stances. Explore the profiles of these Ambassadors and how they embody the message "Change happens through you".

Interior architect and designer by training, Céline Juppeau founded Kotmo in 2014 with the aim of revolutionizing the polluting and unsustainable promotional items industry. She raises awareness among large companies to optimize their supply chains to become better corporate citizens.

The organization is among the first in Quebec to be B Corp certified, awarded to companies that meet high standards of social and environmental responsibility, governance and transparency.

Beyond her professional commitment, Céline is fully involved in causes that are close to her heart. She is particularly dedicated to supporting and inspiring young people, seeking to encourage them to develop their potential and realize their dreams. She is also deeply committed to promoting gender equality, working for a more inclusive society where opportunities are equally distributed between men and women.

Making business impact

Having participated in the JCCM's Réseau Jeunes Entrepreneur.e.s (RJE) program at the start of her career, Céline went on to become a member of the organization's organizing committee, supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Céline is driven by the conviction that major societal change comes through businesses and their purchasing power, their ability to generate money and the flexibility they have to make choices for our planet and the communities in which they operate.

Uniting to amplify our reach

For the very first time in its existence, the JCCM has made the innovative decision to transform its presidency by appointing the Collectif d'ambassadeurs.rices et porte-paroles. For Céline, this decision allows a greater number of people to embody the JCCM's committed message and to represent, through different perspectives, the diversity of our ecosystem.

"Having Le Collectif will enable the majority of the young business ecosystem to be able to relate to a story, to actually see themselves through certain people, either by their style, their culture, their background. And that's how we're going to get everyone talking to each other."

Céline wants to use her ambassadorship to spread the message that "To improve our world, we need leading companies that generate money for environmental and social investment. The environment and the economy don't have to be pitted against each other."

Creating a business world consistent with our values

"A chamber of commerce represents a significant weight in the economy. I chose to contribute to the JCCM's mission because I consider its committed approach to be essential."

"For a long time we thought we had time, but faced with the environmental impact of corporate activities, it has become clear that we can no longer do business as we used to. The JCCM can become an influential voice that inspires other chambers of commerce around the world." For Céline, it's necessary to move away from scattered discourses to create a stronger, unified voice capable of influencing the business world.
