A successful launch!

On Monday, October 30, 2024, in addition to being the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, the Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal kicked off its 2024-25 season at the launch 6@8. Over 150 people attended the event, using the Café Bar in the Espace Danse of the Wilder building to network with Montreal's business community.

Every year, the JCCM team strives to offer enriching and beneficial programming, and this year is no exception!

Participants had the opportunity to network, exchange ideas and prepare for the new year. The evening was marked by motivating speeches from the JCCM's new collective of ambassadors and spokespersons - Céline Jupeau, Christian Kengne, Sybile Yao and Shi Diwen Zhu - and its general manager Marie-Krystine Longpré.

The latter took a moment to raise awareness among the young business people present of the issues faced by First Nations, Inuit and Métis people in the past, and sadly, still today.

Guests were given a slido with the question: how can we become better allies of Aboriginal peoples?

A video by Brad Gros-Louis was also shown to explain the significance of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.

The event also highlighted the JCCM's objectives for the coming year, particularly in terms of sustainable development and climate resilience. The JCCM continues to play a crucial role in supporting young professionals and entrepreneurs in the region, offering them opportunities for growth and development.
