The Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach, near Schefferville, the Micmac Nation of Gespe'gewa'gi, in the Gaspé Peninsula, the Huron-Wendat Nation, near Quebec City, and the Cree Nation, on the outskirts of James Bay, have created a new entity called Atenro - or “friendship” in the Wendat language. Together, they have invested to become majority owners of one of the capital's most important hotels [Hilton], a 569-room establishment that is still shining from a $70 million facelift to be completed in 2020.
